The seven steps in the video
- Download and extract. Download TExtract.zip from krinirv.com, right-click it, choose Extract All and pick a folder you'll keep, such as D:\TExtract. Always open TExtract from this folder, never from inside the ZIP.
- Windows warning. If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
- Sign in or sign up. Sign in with your TExtract email and password. New? Click Sign up and confirm your email to start the 7-day free trial.
- The TDL file. TExtract saves NewTDL3.TDL in its folder. TallyPrime needs this file to share your data.
- Turn on TallyPrime's server. In TallyPrime, press F1 (Help) > Settings > Connectivity > Client/Server configuration. Set TallyPrime acts as to Both, Enable ODBC to Yes and Port to 9000. Save with Ctrl+A and say Yes when TallyPrime asks to restart.
- Load the TDL. Press F1 (Help) > TDLs & Add-Ons > F4 (Manage Local TDLs). Set Load selected TDL files on startup to Yes, add D:\TExtract\NewTDL3.TDL and save with Ctrl+A.
- Restart and check. Close TallyPrime and open it again so it loads NewTDL3.TDL. To check, open localhost:9000 in your browser. It should say "TallyPrime Server is Running".
Setup done. Next, watch Everyday use to take a company from TallyPrime into Excel.
