Set up once. Then three clicks.
Set up TallyPrime once
Turn on TallyPrime's built-in ODBC server on port 9000 and load the small TDL file TExtract gives you. The setup video walks you through it.
Pick period and reports
Open the company in TallyPrime and set the same period with Alt+F2. In TExtract, choose the period, tick the reports and any ledgers you need.
Get your workbook
Click Extract. When it says DONE, one Excel workbook is waiting in your output folder, with an Index sheet on top.

Narration columns are off by default. On a large company they can make a run up to ten times longer, so tick them only when you need them.

Stock Register Add-on
Stock summary, stock item ledgers, and item-wise sales and purchases with HSN and GST, for the period set in TallyPrime.
Edit Log Report Add-on
Tally's edit log as a workbook: a voucher edit register, each altered voucher's entries version by version side by side, deleted vouchers and masters, master changes and the activity log.

Free for 7 days. The ZIP holds the app, both how-to videos and a short Read me. Extract it to a folder such as D:\TExtract, open the app from there and click Sign up.

Questions we get asked
Is my Tally data uploaded anywhere?
No. TExtract reads TallyPrime on your own computer and saves the workbook there. It only talks to our server to sign you in, check your licence and look for updates.
Does TExtract change anything in Tally?
No. It only reads. The one-time setup turns on TallyPrime's own ODBC server and loads a small read-only TDL file that TExtract provides.
How long does an extraction take?
That depends on the size of the company. Narration columns are optional because on a large company they can make a run up to ten times longer.
Why do I set the period in TallyPrime as well?
Some of Tally's data comes from the period currently set in TallyPrime. Press Alt+F2 and set the same period you pick in TExtract, so every sheet covers the same dates.
What happens after the 7-day trial?
Write to us for a licence. Your sign-in stays the same and the app keeps working as soon as the licence is active.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Each licence is linked to a computer. For more computers or your whole firm, write to us and we will set it up.
Is TExtract finished?
TExtract is in beta and can make mistakes, so please check important figures against Tally. Updates arrive inside the app.
